“ We had our “night before” dinner here on Saturday, August 10th. The tables were already set up prior to our arrival. Each staff member greeted us and got to know us. It made us feel so special. Drinks came quickly upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend the Cherry Whiskey Sour! (I don’t even like whiskey). It was the best drink I’ve ever had. Onto the food.....so much food I don’t think any of us knew what to do with it! It was served family style. There were 25 of us. Charcuterie board, wings, salad, chicken, pulled pork, veggies, and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely incredible. I’ve worked in restaurants for 12 years and this service was beyond anything I could have imagined. The price was even better. Thank you Smoke & Porter for hosting our night before dinner. My husband and I had a wonderful time and I know our guests loved it as well. We come to Traverse City every summer and we will definitely be back! ”

“ First time visit. Nice decor and atmosphere. The menu is small which is good and the choices were very nice. More than 1 vegan option was nice. We were a table of 6 so we got to try different dishes. Black bean burger was delicious for a meat eater it was 5 stars. Makhani curry was fantastic not too spicy which is par for the course in TC. Also ordered were a full plate of ribs fries and Caesar salad. All were good. The pulled pork with the Memphis sauce was great. The half chicken with the St Louis sauce was good. We also ordered an asparagus side dish as well as a potato side. Very good. Finished with turtle jubilee and cookies and cream Brule dessert. Another nice touch was the great service from Kurt. Highly recommend. ”

“ The food and drinks are so yummy! My husband had the brisket, and he raved about it being the best brisket he's ever had, which says a lot because he smokes his own meat. I had the Truffle Huffer, which was just as delicious and very juicy. We also grabbed a small side of the mac, it is not your mommas mac but in a good way. You must try the liquid inspiration if you are a whiskey person. For the ladies, new on their menu, the spring fling,with a hint of lavender and bubbly You gotta try it! We will be back for sure ”

“ I went here with my husband for restaurant week. I got the bay scallop appetizer, ruby red trout entree, and white chocolate cheesecake with lemon curd and raspberries for dessert. I really enjoyed all 3 courses, but I think the highlight was the dessert! If they keep that on the menu, I'll be back often! My husband isn't crazy about lemon, but even he said it was amazing. The service was also great. We were seated quickly, water glasses stayed full, and food was served in a reasonable time. It was a Friday evening, so the restaurant was mostly full, but there wasn't a wait to get in. We did make reservations just to make sure we wouldn't have to wait just in case. Drinks were also tasty. I had the tropical mojito, and I recommend it to anyone who likes a sweet and refreshing drink. ”
